Southern Georgia golf: Bacon Park and Great Dunes
A Savannah community milestone and a Golden Isles course update.
Savannah's public-golf milestone
The City of Savannah lists a Bacon Park Municipal Golf Course centennial celebration for October 2, 2026. Its course history traces public golf there to 1926. As of this October 1 review, the celebration is upcoming; recheck before publishing or revisiting this story afterward.
A Golden Isles course update
The Jekyll Island Authority says Great Dunes reopened as an 18-hole course in fall 2025. Jekyll Island is near Brunswick; the course is not in downtown Brunswick and is not a Bring the Tee. event property.
What this means for a gathering
A staffed simulator bay can let guests try a golf challenge without booking a course round. On the coast, confirm a level area, venue approval, standard power, and a weather backup. For Savannah or Brunswick, include the exact property in the request.
How availability works
Southern Georgia requests are reviewed job by job with an operator search. We confirm the bay, attendant, and location before offering a booking. This article reports independent golf news, not local Bring the Tee. event history.
